I was fortunate to have played football for Coach twice. He was a great motivator, always had a joke to share, and taught me to "never step over dollars to pick up dimes." We never lost a game.
Now as a parent with kids in youth sports, it makes me even more appreciative for people like Coach.
My condolences to the family. Thanks for everything Coach!
I was sad to read of Dan's passing. The obit didn't mention he started out on the South Salt Lake Police force or that his early banking experiences were at Tracy-Collins Bank where he managed the Cottonwood Office. I fondly remember the boating trips to Lake Powell with Ron Carnago, Vic Wager, Dan and a whole bunch of others just having a good time or the Utah Bankers convention in Sun Valley. Dan was one of those people you could just trust. I will miss him.

Dan and I first met at Judge in the 6th grade. We became good friends and spent "quality time" during junior high, high school and after graduation.
We spent many hours wrenching on cars as well as double dating.
These are some of my best memories.
Dan - Thanks for all the good times!
My deepest condolences to you at the passing of Dan. Lots of wonderful memories during past years. There was one thing I never understood: Dan would leave the office headed to Brighton to coach football in business dress and arrive in coaching clothes. I asked him where he changed clothes and he said, " I change in the car on the way to the practice field." How?

I'm so sorry to hear about Dan passing. It has been a long time since I have seen or talked to you guys. I was just a kid but I have a lot of great memories of Dan when I was younger. He always made me laugh and I loved going to Guardian when he was there. God bless you guys during this difficult time.

Dear Valerie, Alex and Robyn, we are so saddened to hear this news about Dan passing.
We have many wonderful memories of our association with your family over the years. We were recently talking about our visit in Las Vegas a few years ago with You and Dan. Wonderful memories of the little league football and trips associated with that great group.
God bless you and your family in this difficult time. May you be comforted in this time by your memories of Dan and his wonderful life.
Love you all
