In Loving Memory

We lived on the same street as children in Santee, CA. I remember playing with his sister Christine. The were such a great family. My sincerest condolences to all.

Dave's daughter and my daughter were friends in kindergarten. I remember Dave best for regularly bringing his large, colorful pet bird on his shoulder when he picked up his daughter from school. What a guy! I bet he did it just to make the children smile, which seemed like his specialty. I am sorry for your loss.

When we had an organ to move out of our basement, I ask three friends including Dave to help me move it. Dave immediately lifted it nearly by himself all the way to the truck as the rest of us only tried to help. He is always willing to help with what needs to be done. A good man, a good friend.

He was one of the kindest men I've ever known. His smile and laugh was infectious. He always told me he loved my chicken long rice. Fly with the angels, David. Uncle and I will love you forever.

David, my brother, was a gentle giant. He was my big brother and he was bigger than life. In the last 6 months I'd never seen him happier. He finally figured out what life was all about. I know that he is taking care of now and that I'll see him again. E hele me ke akua e kuʻu hoahānau aloha.

He was always joking and laughing and his laugh was infectious! It was in the quiet moments that he would sincerely ask the important questions. He was fiercely protective of me, his little sister. Even in death I know he is doing all he can to protect me.
