Neil Wallace Whicker

I'm sorry to hear of Neil's passing. He was a great friend to me, and my family. He took a chance on me as a young kid working in his insurance office. I spoke Spanish and he didn't. He worked with my school schedule, and teased me about my fly-fishing habit. There wasn't a day that went by where he didn't mention my "pick'um'up truck". After I left the insurance industry to pursue my dream of becoming an engineer we kept in touch. He would often stop by my parents house in his neighborhood and say hello and catch-up with what was going on in my life. I always chuckled to myself when he tried to "sneak up" on me on his Harley when I was outside. I eventually graduated and moved out of state for work. He would keep up with my whereabouts from my parents. Neil always stopped by when he saw the out of state tags on a car in my parents driveway. We caught up just like old we saw each other the week prior, had a good chuckle and he'd be off. I really appreciated Neil's friendship. Rest in Peace. Till we meet again.

Brian & Lauren - Sadly surprised at the passing of your father. Brent (or as Neil called him "Scoots") & I always had a lot of fun with your dad at Jazz games, functions and at our office. One very fun memory was a cruise your parents and Brent & I took together (and I noticed that you even have a picture of the four of us in Neil's video). - It was enjoyable to watch you two kids grow up. Oh how proud of you two was your father!!!! Just hold onto all the wonderful memories and know how very much you were loved by your dad. I knew Neil- National Guard. He was a good friendly guy. He had a green 67? Shelby gt 500 with 427. Million dollar car today. Sorry to hear of his passing. Ray Stephenson

Dear family members, we have known Neil for many years and we loved to visit with him. He was fun to talk to and he was always a straight shooter - he told you how it was! It was great to see him on his motorcycle cruising through the neighborhood. He always had a warm greeting for us at church. We were sorry this last while to see him struggling with his health problems. The last time we saw him he looked well. Our hearts go out to you in your loss. May you be comforted as you remember the happy times you had with him. His spirit lives and you will see him again!
