Karl Gordon Lark

In Loving Memory

In 1992, I attended a conference on undergraduate teaching where Professor Lark presented his strategy for engaging students using a novel exam strategy.  It was an exciting session!  I was just beginning my teaching career and modeled my Cell Biology exams on his strategy.  "Data sets" for exams became the hallmark of the course, since adopted by every instructor who teaches this class.  I'm cleaning out my office and just came across my old conference notes and Professor Lark's name.  I wish I could thank him and let him know how inspirational and influential he was.

My father, Richard C. Howe, would like to send his sympathy to Antje and her entire family. He remembers the time Antje served as his clerk in the Utah Supreme Court. He remembers meeting Gordon at the time of their wedding. The Howe family sends our condolences and love.
