In Loving Memory

Dear Wendy, Jody and Anthony My sincere condolences to you all. I worked with you mom when she was at Stanford. We had so many wonderful times working together and playing together. Your mom taught me to love sparkle. From a beautiful champagne or martini glass to a beautiful crystal piece to a beautiful piece of jewelry. She also was such an incredible hostess and entertainer. When i would go to her Los Altos cottage or her San Francisco apartment you were alway in for a treat. Her cooking was incredible and the presentation was always impeccable. I had not spoken with your mom in a long while only communicating by Christmas cards the last few years. I have such fond memories of Marsha . The video you put together was wonderful . It looked like she was smiling all the way to the end of her life. Best wishes to you all Susan Holley

I want to offer my deepest sympathy to all of Marsha's children and to Susan, Sally, and Fred. I am sure this is a difficult time for all of you. The slide presentation was great. It helped me to better understand her life. As for me, it is very hard to say good bye to a very close friend of nearly 75 years. I knew the Burtoft family since Marsha and I were little kids. I was also acquainted with her extended family on her mothers side. Because of my friendship with Marsha, I spent lots of time during our school days at her home. I don't suppose there are others still around whose friendship is close to reaching 3/4 of a century. I am saddened by her passing and l am already missing her. I am lucky to have had two loves in my life. Obviously, my wife and best friend Renae is one. She has put up with me for 58 years of marriage. The other of course was Marsha. She was a big part of my life during our school years. During that period of time, Marsh was often on my mind. I doubt if she even knew how I felt. Although I saw her at school reunions, our contacts were limited for many years. Several years ago I decided try to contact Marsha and was successful in reestablishing contact. Renae and I had the pleasure of taking Marsha to lunch a few times and we talked on the phone frequently. I think we both enjoyed our talks. Now that I can't call her, I wish I would have called more often. RIP special friend. L Bob Park
