To the family of Lucy Glenn: George and I so hoped to be present for Lucy's funeral tomorrow. Sadly we are not able to be there. Lucy Glenn was a dear friend of ours for many years. A friendship that saw the good times and the very difficult times one experiences in a lifetime. Tender memories have filled our hearts and minds since the day she passed from this earthly life to the sublime glorious eternal life. A beautiful strong woman of faith was Lucy. Also a woman of humor, multiple talents, Carmelite Spirituality, love of family, support and uplifting messages of Hope and love. Her poise and elegant style was a joy to see. Her love of classical music and charming stories of her beloved homeland of Germany or her fond memories of her family in Canada made tea time with Lucy memorable and special. Her beautiful blue German dishes and a delicious sweet to share was a trade mark of her elegance . I came across a Mass Card a Priest sent me when my own Mother died in 2015. The mass intention was from Lucy. The priest reminded me that my Mother was only a prayer away. I believe that holds true for our dear Lucy. She is only a prayer away...for now until we meet again. She may have changed but she is not gone from us. A donation to the Carmelite Monastery is on its way in her memory. Prayers continue for her and for all of you. A beautiful legacy in Lucy for all of you to remember in continuing on. Elegance , class, and friendship are golden qualities that the world needs in abundance right now. God Bless and keep the family of Lucy. Fondly, George and Jane Starks

Patrick snd Michael! I just learned today with much sadness of your mom’s passing. It truly was an act of God that I learned of it. I hadn’t been able to reach her for all these weeks. She and I became close when she lived here and our friendship continued to grow through all these years. She is a precious friend who mentored me spiritually for all of these years. We shared our hearts with each other. I share the pain of of your loss with you. A Catholic nun in Uganda has been praying for her and hopes to attend the funeral mass livestream. As do I if I can find it. God bless you two and the grandchildren. I have a picture on my refrigerator of Lucie with Emily taken 10 years ago. So precious! She loved you all so much.

Sweet Lucia, I spent many hours with her during my time at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. We counted the collections, we had tea, we sat in the kitchen sharing stories. I am saddened to hear of her passing. She was truly a bright light in my life, as I am sure she was in many others. May she rest in peace.

To Patrick, Michael and the family. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My dear Lucia, oh how I will miss you. I will miss your smile. Lucie you taught me many everlasting truths. Dedication to one's religion, patience, endurance, kindness, and love to name a few. I cherish the time we spent together. I cherish our friendship which began at St. Joseph Villa in the fall of 2017. A friendship that will last forever. Until we meet again. I love you.
