In Loving Memory

Dear Hagen family – Please forgive the lateness in this message. I just watched the beautiful photo/ music tribute to your mother – it is quite moving. It looks as if Mrs. Hagen led a wonderful life. I met you all 3 years ago in Sheridan at Barbara’s celebration of life out at Patti Franklin Drake’s home on Big Goose. Of course, my parents (Patricia Kelley & Willis Pelissier) knew your mother’s family well – all growing up in Sheridan together of the same generation. When I was growing up, I thought the Franklins that I knew – Joe and Mrs. Gardner – were the kindest people in the world – and of course, your mother was of the same cloth. I am honored to have Franklins in my family by marriage – You are a wonderful family and I hope to see you again. My deepest sympathy for your loss . Kelley Pelissier

Thanking of all of you with love and heartfelt sympathy at the passing of Mary. The video tribute was lovely and we noticed that the bright twinkle in her eyes shows in all of you. She was a remarkable lady. May her memory bring you joy and peace. Love, Donny, Debby, Amelia & Nathan Gardner

Dear Hagan Family, I was saddened when I saw your mother's obituary in the paper this morning. I worked with Mary at the VA in the late 70's, and though it was forty years ago, I vividly remember her as such a lovely person - kind, generous, and so much fun to be around. She was the surrogate mom to all the student workers in the Personnel Department and beyond (so much so that she diagnosed a rash on my mid section as chicken pox, even though I was 21, and she was right). You're never ready to say goodbye to your mom, and I'm sorry for your loss. I feel lucky to enjoyed her company in my life for a few years. Ann Aagard

Mary; my pal, my neighbor. I missed you the last few years, I'm grateful that we became friends and that you always welcome my family into your home. I've missed our glasses of beer or a good bourbon and conversations. You will always be in my heart, take care and I'll see you when I see you. Love you Mike.

Our mother, Mary Catherine (Franklin) Hagan, gave our family enduring qualities that we will carry us through the rest of our lives and etch her in our memories forever: a boundless giving spirit, a love of friends and family expressed by an enormous social heart, and the desire to travel and see the world in all it's wonder and awe. We will carry her love with us always.
