Life around Jason was richer. People seemed to laugh and smile when he was around. He was also resourceful. I recall him fixing a stalled boat motor with few or no tools during a trip on Utah Lake. Great memories at U of U with him. He'll be missed and remembered.

I will always remember our talks back at TDW. How you and I would discuss differences between the Air Force and the Army and our experiences in Afghanistan. How much you loved your family and your country and of course how you were crazy enough to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft. You will be missed. God be with you til we meet again.

So many memories, from South Korea to Afghanistan. Drill weekends going out to places I will not mention here, but if you know, you know. Oh, and the time that Peter's wife threw up on him!!! He took it like a champ! The Sigcen were always the ones who made the mission happen, and Jason was always there to cheer us on, even when he admitted he didn't know what we were doing in the satcom section. Thank you for being a good friend Jason. I wish his family peace in knowing that he lived his life to the fullest. Rest In Peace.

Jason was only seven days older than me. Jason and I got into the 19th at the same time, while he was a cadet and I was a brand new private. We were in the same section as each other. I have a lot of great memories of him. We also mountain biked together and, because he lived down the street from me, I would bring my bike over sometimes to tinker on it with him. We were always sending each other funny stuff, and talking, on Instagram. Which now out of habit I still go to click his name. I talked to him the day he passed, not realizing that would be the last time. To Jason's family, and friends, I am sorry for your loss of a great man. I will miss him tremendously, and am grateful I got to know him while he was here.

To Jason's family we send our profound love and support. While I didn't know Jason personally, in many ways I did. As a retired USAF MSgt and Vietnam veteran, I've gratefully met many Jasons over the years - bright young men who willingly gave of their time, dedication, life in their service to our country. Words can not describe my sadness for the Scott's family loss. I was able to talk to your son, sir, when we met at the Veteran's home in Payson. One could tell that his parents had raised a great patriot and person. May he always face into the wind and keep his feet and knees together. Until we meet again.
