I came upon your beautiful memorial by accident doing research on another man with the last name Kearns. I knew Michael back in the early days in NYC, and I can honestly say he was the nicest guy in Gotham. His smile and fedora is what I remember most. I am so sorry for your loss, but what a legacy he leaves behind.

I will miss michael, he and I had many conversations over politics and photographic images. I was happy that I saw him briefly just a day or two before he enter the hospital. Our family's condolences to his wife, son and extended family. Ron & Linda Fox

I am so sorry and shocked at your loss. While I never met Michael personally, he and I often chatted online about journalism and of course, the Salt Lake Tribune. He was a great resource, and his interest in history was so helpful. I just can't believe it. I am sure his legacy will continue.
