In Loving Memory

Hello Mike and other members of the Gorrell family. I read your mother’s obituary with a smile. You captured her long life so vividly. She made a huge contribution to the students, faculty, and staff of the department of education administration for a quarter century. Joyce was a generous woman, and one to be reckoned with. In the last few days, I have been in touch with many others who knew Joyce during that era. We all join in sending our gratitude for her splendid service, and extend our condolences you.

Mike and Family: Please accept our condolences at your Mom's passing. I wish I could have met her because she sounds like the kind of people I like. Our own mothers are gone, and we know what kind of a hole that leaves. The good times are still there in your heart, and there may be no better place for them to stay with you. All our love, Russell & Cathy.

Ah, Mike, I am so very sorry for you and yours -- such a terrible loss. I did not have the privilege of knowing Joyce but FEEL as if I did after reading this rich summation of her life and staunch character -- a "report" no doubt written by her talented son.
