Ira Eugene Overfelt

Dear Overfelt Family: A cousin of mine made me aware of Gene's obituary and I wanted to send my condolences. He lived a long and happy life.

I have very fond memories of your parents when Marilee and I would get together with them through out the years. They were always so gracious and kind.  

Our love and condolences to all the Overfelt Families at the loss over their Father. Your parents, Jean & Gene were wonderful people, good friends, accomplished and very good neighbors who will be missed by all !

     Eugene was an amazing man.  Your tribute to him in the obituary represented him so well.  

     He was an extraordinary gentleman.  I have wonderful memories of him and your family coming to our Foothill barbership.

My deepest sympatihies and kind thoughts are headed your way at this tough time -- the loss of your Dad.  My 6 1/2 years spent "hanging" with Gene at CSB were a rewarding and fun part of my career.  We worked hard and played hard.  I fondly remember snowmobiling with Gene and joining him at the NCAA basketball finals in SL to watch Bird and Johnson.  I know all of you have many, great memories to help you celebrate his life.

We thought we new Gene, but he was so much more accomplished than we knew. We knew him as a great banker, friend, and tailgate partnering, what a wonderful man.  Our love to the Overfelt family, you have been a big part of out lives. Our love and condolences to all of you.

What an excellent obituary. We learned such interesting information about Mr. Overfelt. Truly a life full of accomplishments, commitments, generosity and fun. In total a life well lived.
