Grandma Nancy was a Force of Nature. Even though I only got to meet her a few times, her astonishing energy and intelligence are true inspiration for me. What a loss to the World, but what a wonderful thing it must have been to have such a Mother, Grandmother, Friend! My heart is with you this week as you bid her farewell.
My heart goes out to the whole Siirola family as you mourn the loss of your matriarch. I was lucky to meet her myself a few years ago and instantly saw where Ellen gets her sparkle. What a good life she lived and what an impressive family she raised. May her memory be a blessing. Love, Anne
The Siirola family graced the lives of the Ahlin Family in 1960 upon their arrival from Ohio. A friendship that endured and was treasured. Nancy was a gem, a friend to everyone. No doubt there is a happy reunion in the heavens. Nancy and Art, Pauline and Marty reuniting. Know her memory will be a blessing to her children and theirs as she is to ours.
Sending sympathy and love, Peggy...Michael and Mary Jo
My deepest condolences and prayers to the Siirola family during this difficult time of loss. Surely Nancy will live on in our collective memories of her loving heart. I have many sweet memories of Nancy (and Art) and am forever grateful for her hospitality and grace. Although it has been many years since I moved to Minnesota from Utah, my family still enjoys Nancy's Cranberry Sauce and Wild Rice Dressing every year on Thanksgiving.
We are sending all of our love to the Siirolas. Nancy created one of the safest and most loving communities we have had the luck to even glimpse into. Nancy was truly a wonderful person and so many generations benefitted and prospered from her love and joy for life, a true testiment to her home-grown community. Her absolute dedication to all inclusive love is so evidently passed onto her children and the rest of your loving clan. You're all continuing her wonderful legacy every day. Honest warmth and love from us all, the world has lost a golden soul. We only hope to emulate her vibrancy and longevity in our lives. In her honor, we will be eating this week at her favorite restaurant - The Olive Garden
I met Nancy a number of years ago through the First Friday Masses with the Catholic Woman's League. I took my mother and met the nicest women! I didn't get to know Nancy well but talking with her was a delight. Her positive and warm demeanor is something I've long remembered. My condolences to her family.
Our deepest condolences to the entire Siirola family. We always loved visiting your mother and father to hear of their adventures, stories and the best jokes. Nancy always had food and goodies for us and it was a pleasure to spend time with her. She was the sweetest lady and always had a smile for you. She struggled these last few years, but I'm sure she had a joyful reunion with Art and all her departed family. Our thoughts to you all and thanks for sharing her with us.
