In Loving Memory

I send you my heartfelt sympathy. Mary's parents were the godparents to my Dad, William (Bill) Hearne, another former IRS employee. My dad told stories about the ?City Girls? coming to down to the ?country" (San Bruno) to visit the Hearne's in the 1920's. As it turns out, my mother Helen's first job after high school in 1947 was with the IRS working for Mary. My mother said that Mary was the best boss she ever had. Mary took her under her wing and showed her the ropes and she was forever grateful. I know that she and Mary kept in touch until my mother's death in 2012. Mary was a trailblazer. I am so sorry for your loss, Joan Hearne-Gribble

Where do i even begin. Nana was such an amazing, kind and beautiful woman. She was like a grandmother to me. I am so happy that I was able to be a part of her life. I still can't believe she made it to 102!! Bill and family, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm sure she and my dad are talking about all the wonderful memories they both had from the San Francisco days. She will be very missed by all that knew her. We are thinking about you and the family in this difficult time. Much love, Sharla, Keelie and Ian
