In Loving Memory

In memory of my brother Jon. He was so versed in so many subjects, although there has never a doubt in my mind that his stories were somewhat embellished, no matter how factual they might have been conceived. The spice he added only enhanced, never detracted from the final truth. He was my friend, my counselor, my problem solver and I never doubted that his love for me was the real thing. In later years I grew in understanding of his life and joys and sorrows. I wish that life could have been sweeter. He made his own way, he lived his dreams and helped me appreciate what I was given in life. I am so grateful for having him in my life and as the days go on I have learned to value his presence in my world. I miss you Jon in so many ways. I cherish the few times you were able to say to me......I love you!!!

Jon has worked on my 5 VOLVO's over the past 30 years. During that time, Jon became my friend, someone who cared. watched out for my good and made me feel that I was dealing with someone I could trust. That meant the world to me, and then to get to know about his passions in coins, books, cameras, and more ... was always facinating to hear about. I only found out today about his passing and I am so sorry for you ALL. Blessed Be. Jane Herron

I met Jon some twenty years ago following my retirement from the submarine service and arriving at SLC to teach at West HS. Jon was a font of knowledge on a myriad of subjects not the least of which were old Volvo's. Our conversations on education, aviation, submarines, Volvos and life made the day whole You will be missed Jon.. Fair winds and following seas Amigo.

Back in the 1970's I worked as Faculty Secretary at Westminster College. I became friends with most all faculty members, among whom was Jon. I have fond memories of his smile, good nature and of being a 'tough dude' when he broke an ankle & just walked around with his boot laced very tight. I loved Emmy's vivacious personality as well. In fact, those days at Westminster I count as some of my happiest. Now you can fly as high has you want, Jon, God speed!

Welcome Family and Friends, We invite you to to leave your thoughts and memories of Jon. He touched many people during his life across his business and hobbies. He loved to tell a good story and we hope that each of you will take a minute to relay a good story and, in turn, enjoy other's stories in loving memory. Warm Regards, the Atzet Family

After God removes wickedness and suffering, the earth will be transformed into a paradise. Then people will be able to live forever in perfect health and happiness. God's Word foretells: ?[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.?—Revelation 21:4. In that new world, even dead ones will be brought back to life to share in those blessings: ?There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.? (Acts 24:15) That is why Jesus Christ could tell a repentant evildoer who expressed faith in him: ?You will be with me in Paradise.?—Luke 23:43. I hope these thoughts provide some comfort during this difficult time.

It was a distinct pleasure knowing Jon. We shared a passion for aviation and vintage Volvo cars. I was always impressed with his vast and varied background. Sorry that Utah will now be void of his Volvo knowledge, resource and restoration skill. Fair winds and following seas my friend.
