Annette Oman Caine passed away peacefully in October 2017. She was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her parents Milton and Virginia raised her to be very independent. Annette worked with her father on his ranches where she became a true tomboy, learning to ride horses and work the land with her beloved older brother, Bob. Her mother Virginia was very talented, and passed her musical abilities to Annette, who played piano and guitar, She was also a beautiful singer, and artist, and her favorite medium was watercolor painting.

In high school, Annette sang and performed in school productions. After leaving high school, she pursued a degree in English from the University of Utah, and subsequently became a high school teacher. She was beloved by her students as she inspired them to go on to great things.

She loved all animals, especially her dogs, and was a true free spirit throughout her life. She had two children, Jennifer (Gwen) Caine and Darin Caine, and three grandchildren Devyn, Oliver, and Davis, all of whom were loved very much. Her humor and affection will be sorely missed.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the entrance on the north side of the building.
