Leland C. Atkin
"Lee"

A beloved Husband, Father, and Papa passed away after a brief but difficult battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He resided in Cottonwood Heights, never far from the mountains of the Rockies and the golf courses that he cherished, one of those being Willow Creek Country Club where he was a member for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Salt Lake Jaycee's where he received numerous awards. Lee graduated from West High School, served in the U.S. Army and married his college sweetheart and the love of his life, Jeanine. He loved working and was an amazing salesman. He was an unwavering University of Utah fan and Crimson Club member. Lee was an avid outdoorsman and spent many days fishing, golfing, and hunting with his best friend, his brother Ken Atkin.

Lee enjoyed simple routines that included eating at his favorite restaurants, a cup of coffee in the morning and a favorite cocktail in the evening. He made lasting relationships along the way! Lee will be deeply missed by all.

Lee and Jeanine Atkin have been married for 58 wonderful years. They have 4 children, Greg (Gina), Sean (Sheyla), Kristin (Todd), and Leslie (Mark). His favorite role was that of "Papa" to 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He is survived by his wife Jeanine and his brother Ken Atkin. He is preceded in death by his father Clark Atkin and mother Ruth Jeffs Atkin.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building.
