Mary Helen Howard-Rockwell

"On a clear day... How it will astound you, that the glow of your being outshines every star."

This song was often beautifully sung by our dear mother. She was sure it described Heaven and now she knows it does.

Raised in Norfolk,  Nebraska, she was the wife of 44 years to Sportscaster Bill Howard Sr. Bill was interred at Arlington National Cemetery with our fallen heroes in 1994. Mother to three children; Anne Howard, Kathleen Blodgett spouse Christopher, and Bill Howard Junior spouse Trese. Grandmother to Will Howard and Christie Garrettson spouse James and great grandmother to Nadia Garrettson. Helen later married Joseph Rockwell. We know she loved us all very much and that is what she takes with her. 

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM with a vigil beginning at 7:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph's Villa, 451 Bishop Federal Ln, Salt Lake City.
