Dennis G. Marshall

Dennis passed away peacefully at his home on December 1, 2018 surrounded by his family.

He was born August 14, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alice Christian and Gerald Claude Marshall. He graduated from Cyprus High School and served in the U.S Army as a medic from 1973-1975 during the Vietnam War. He met the love of his life, Connie Redlin; they married on October 15, 1982 and together they had two children.

He worked at the VA Hospital and as a Material Handler for Laco before retiring in June of 2018. Sports was everything to Dennis. He also loved fishing, camping, traveling and eating. He was a huge dog lover. He was a man who always took care of his family, put them above all else, and protected them. He was their rock.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years; children Jeff (Sam) and Nicki (John); grandchildren Connor Gerald and Reinette Hartlee; siblings Kathleen (Don) Keller, Linda (Charlie) Redlin, Didi (Clay) Watkins, Alan (Jeanene) Marshall and Jim (Cristina) Marshall.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 8th from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking provided on the north side of the building. He will be laid to rest privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
