Betty Jeanne Crawford

Our beloved, and “feisty little Irish Grandma,” Betty Jeanne Crawford, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born May 10, 1928 in Park City, Utah to James and Rose Farren.

Jeanne was a graduate of Judge Memorial Catholic High School, and after, went on to receive her nursing degree from Holy Cross School of Nursing. She enjoyed her career as an ICU nurse.

Jeanne met the love of her life, William Kent Crawford, and they were married April 13, 1950 at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. They celebrated the lives of their two beautiful children, Sharon Ann and William David. She took great pride in spending time with and caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; vacationing with family; learning about and living her Irish heritage, and spending time in her immaculately clean home.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Howa (Shep); grandchildren, Nichole Howa Greenwood, Shawn Crawford, and Crystal (Joe) Ecker; and five great-grandchildren; Jade, Connor, Aidan, Gavin, and Jake who always brought a smile to her face. Preceded in death by her husband William Kent and son William David.

Enjoy a delicious Singapore Sling, Gram, and have one ready for us when we meet you on the yellow brick road.

A Mass will be celebrated in her memory at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at St. Jude’s Maronite Catholic Church, 4900 South Wasatch Street, Murray. Family and friends may call 30 minutes prior to Mass. Internment immediately following at Mt. Calvary, 4th Avenue and “T” Street.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Swing for Life Foundation in her name. Many thanks to Karen Keck for all your help and extraordinary kindness.
