Paul A. Yribar

April 6, 1943 - February 27, 2019

Paul A. Yribar, my husband and best friend, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 6, 1943 to John and Mary Rose Yribar, the first of two children.

Paul graduated from Judge Memorial High School and thereafter enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a dedicated member of St. Ann’s and St. Ambrose Catholic Churches and proudly served numerous positions in the Knights of Columbus.

Paul married Judy Curtis in September of 1985, and was a wonderful step-father to her three children.

Paul has a one of a kind sense of humor. He enjoyed golfing and loved completing puzzles and crosswords.

He is survived by his wife Judy; step-children, Cristy Curtis, Nikki (Jeff) Kubinski; his grandchildren, Kylee Merrill, Paige and Cole Kubinski, and his sister, Rita (Bob) McElroy. Paul is preceded in death by his parents; and his step-son, Kelly Curtis.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held Wednesday March 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East in Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 7 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2315 East Redondo Avenue, Salt Lake City.
