Herbert “Herb” Ewell Newton age 89, resident of West Valley City, Utah, passed to the Lord on July 8, 2019.

Herb was born November 20, 1930 in Denver, Colorado to Robert and Susan (Morrison) Newton.

Herb married Giuseppe (Pina) Chianello on January 28, 1956 at the Saint Paul Cathedral in Yakima, Washington.

Herb served three years eight months in the U.S. Air Force and thirty two years as a Federal Civil Service employee. He is survived by his wife; Pina, son Michael Stephen, daughters; Mary Francis (Galen) Williams and Laurie Ann (Chris) Hutton, granddaughters; Jennifer Williams (Jared) Boyd and Kirstin Williams (Andrew) Dunn and three great grandchildren. Also, brothers Robert, William and sister Irene Young.

Herb will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
