Jeremy Douglas Horejs

Jeremy Douglas Horejs passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2019. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 24, 1974 to Cindy Jennings and Douglas Horejs. Jeremy took pride in his ability to care for his family and friends. Jeremy provided a safe space for everyone and it was easy to feel at ease and cared for in his presence. We are all grateful for the time we had with him.

Jeremy took exceptional care of his wife and four kids. He fiercely loved each of them and made sure to tell them as often as he could. His kids say, he was the best Dad ever! He enjoyed the simple moments of connection with his kids like family dinner and playing catch. He did his best to never miss a bedtime tuck-in. Jeremy and his wife had a magical relationship, their love for each other is infinite and he commented on her beauty and his love for her daily. They once picked an adjective for their marriage and both agreed it was adventure. Their best adventures included boating, golfing, traveling, and snowboarding. The two of them also lived for their nights out together, as well as nights in snuggling the kids. Jeremy provided a life full of joy and laughter. 

Jeremy saw the good in others. His bright, caring, loving eyes will live in our memories forever. Jeremy will be missed, but will be remembered as a strength and a force of light. He is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa; children, Dylan, Cade, Sareya, and Axton; his parents, Cindy and Doug, his sisters and brothers; Derek, Emily, Keven and Tiffany; family-in-laws Joe and Ramona, Lindsay and Jordan; and all of his nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 9th, 2020 from 6-9pm, Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Come join us in celebration of the amazing man Jeremy was.
