John (Big Tony) Gallo

John (Big Tony) Gallo, 70, of Midvale, Utah, passed away on 19 December 2019. He was born to parents Anthony and Mary Gallo, on 25 March 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

After over 40 years of outstanding service, John retired from the Boilermakers Union in 2005.

He enjoyed duck hunting, cooking (but not straight from recipes), pheasant hunting as an English Lord, debating all subjects, shooting, collecting books and war memorabilia, sharing stories and his passions with other people, creating new designs to vacuum into the carpet (which you couldn’t walk on), decorating for holidays, as well as yard work and gardening.

John is survived by son Anthony (Brittney Johnson) Gallo, and brother Ritchie (Kathy) Gallo.

Services for close friends and family (as per John’s wishes) were performed 28 December, 2019 at Saint Therese of The Child Jesus Catholic Church, afterwards John was laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Starks Funeral Parlor as well as the members of Saint Therese of The Child Jesus Catholic Church for their help and compassion during this time.
