“Gramps”

On Sunday, February 2nd 2020, Nick passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Center in Ogden, UT. Our world has forever changed with the loss of our loving husband, father, Gramps, great Gramps, brother and son.

Nick was born on March 27th, 1940 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Nick and Isabel Archuleta. On August 6th, 1963 Nick married the love of his life Rebecca Martinez. Together they had two daughters, Delanie and Stephanie, who he loved with all his heart.

He grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where he attended West High School. He loved spending his young life at the boys club, boxing, and playing basketball.

At 23 years old he was drafted into the Army where he served as a Military Police Officer. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the military never left him. Friends and family will remember him for his integrity and kindness, as well as his friendly banter.

Nick retired from Questar Gas in April of 1995. He then worked at Eaglewood Golf Course as a Marshall where he spent many days playing and teaching his grandsons how to golf.

Nick always had a passion for working in his shop, golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family. Nick was a family man through and through. He always put his family first. His humor and love for life was contagious and impacted everyone he came across. There was never a dull moment when Nick was around.
