Marcina Robertson, beloved sister and aunt, passed away in her sleep, March 24, 2021 from complications of liver disease.

Born to Leo (Dude) and Ruth Robertson on December 28, 1956 in Granite City, Illinois.  She was a cheerleader in junior high and when the family moved to Utah was active in band and pep squad at Tooele High.

Nursing became her passion as she became an LPN by the age of 19.  She then attended Westminster College where she received her BSN and MBA.  After a successful nursing career at St. Mark's Hospital for over 20 years she became involved in provider relations programs at Cigna then Select Health.  She kept to her nursing roots by overseeing diabetes education and immunizations.  She leaves behind a legacy of helathcare initiatives from her varied career and will be sorely missed by countless colleagues.  Always the social butterfly, she made and kept friends effortlessly.  She leaves a pervasive void in the lives of family and friends who are left to muddle through without her organizing lead.

Marcina is preceded in death by her parents and Murphy, the best dog ever.  She is survived by her siblings Leo (Julie Robertson, Michael (Darlyn) Robertson, Rebecca Robertson, Carleen (Lance) McNees and Laura Horton.  Her absence will be felt by an abundance of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Special thanks to Josh, Erica and Teresa at Rocky Mt. Home Care, the staff at Utah Cancer Specialists, Dr. Nibley, Anita Gordon, Dr. Harmston and Dr. Philip Roberts.

A wake will be held on Tuesday, April 6 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Marcina's honor on Wednesday, April 7th at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City.  Marcina's ashes will be interred with her parents at Tooele City Cemetery, 361 S 100 E, Tooele.

In lieu of flowers please support Diabetes Research, American Liver Foundation or your local Symphony.
