Always and Forever

I was born on July 5, 1957 in Logan, Utah. My parents are Walter Dale Kohler and Sarah LaPreal Batt Kohler, the best parents a person could ever have.

I am the youngest of four girls. My oldest sister is Patricia, next is Andrea and then Sandra. I am very close to all of my sisters, their husbands and my nieces and nephews. I truly appreciate their love, concern and taking care of me over the years and I love all of them very much.

I was raised in Smithfield, Utah and attended Smithfield Elementary, North Cache Junior High and Sky View High school. I loved living in Smithfield and all the special times I had growing up there. After high school graduation, I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be with my family and have lived here ever since.

I am grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The gospel has always been very important to me. I don’t know how I would have gotten through my life without it. It is so wonderful to know that I will be reunited with my loved ones again.

I met the love of my life, A. Edward Jewell at a singles ward. He asked me for a first date on April 2, 1978. We were married on September 7, 1978 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. We had 41 incredible years together.

I don’t know what I would have done without him in my life. Words can’t express how I truly feel about him. His love for me and the kindness and caring to me and my family has been amazing over the years. Even with his numerous health problems, he was always there for me. He is my one and only soulmate. I was extremely blessed to have had him in my life all those years. I also love my in-laws, Marvin and Donna Jewell and Ed’s brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and other family members.

Ed and I have some very special friends, who have added much love, laughter and happiness to our lives over the years. We love all of them very much and thank them for the memorable times we have had with them.

I have been so blessed all of my life and have had many happy and awesome times with my family. I also loved the sweet animals we had and the joy they gave me.

I want to extend my love and gratitude to all those who touched my life in any way and added so much love and joy to it.

I was preceded in death by my husband, Ed, my father and mother, Dale and LaPreal Kohler, and my oldest sister, Pat Griffin.

I am survived by my sister, Andrea (Lynn) Larsen and their family, my sister Sandra (Bob) Albrecht and their family, and my sister Pat’s husband Kent Griffin and their family.

Interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens.

I would like to thank Starks Funeral Parlor for all of their kindness and caring for me and my family over the past several years.

Please remember me with love and laughter and not with sadness and tears!
