Edward Henry Sanders

October 5, 1944 - May 9, 2021

On May 9, 2021, Edward Henry Sanders, a servant of Jesus Christ, The Messiah was called to come home by his Creator. His struggle with pancreatic cancer was over.

Ed was born on October 5, 1944 in Texas City, Texas to Charles Edward Sanders Jr. and Tommie Imogene Simmons. 

He is survived by his wife Judy Cora Moulden Sanders.

Ed graduated from Garland High School in 1963.  On November 25,1964 he married Judy Cora Moulden.

Ed graduated from North Texas State University with his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Organic Chemistry.  From June, 1969 to March,1971 Ed was stationed at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas where he was stationed with the United States Army Test and Evaluation Command.  After moving to Salt Lake, Utah Ed attended The University of Utah.  He graduated with his Doctoral Degree in Organic Chemistry.  He then worked at Sorensen’s Laboratories and 15 years at The Utah Department of Health before retiring.

Services for Ed will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the Community of Grace Presbyterian Church, 2015 Newcastle Dr, Sandy. Friends and family are welcome to gather following the service from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Ed will be inurned on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens in the Mausoleum.
