Our beautiful mother Geneva Call Peterson danced her way back to her eternal home where she was greeted by her daughter, Deanna, on February 28, 2022. She was surrounded by her family who adored her.

She was born on April 25, 1930 to Owen Udell Call and Marguerite Olson Call in Lewiston, Utah and was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada where she attended Las Vegas

High School. Geneva and two of her sisters were a dance and majorette team from the time she was 6 years of age until she graduated from BYU. They were known as the Call Sisters and they performed all over the Intermountain West. She graduated from BYU with a BA in speech and drama, while at BYU she was the Belle of the Y. She also worked as a congressional secretary in Washington D.C. and was elected as Cherry Blossom Princess while she was there. Her passion was in the field of drama, she performed one-woman, three-act plays for many years and was a member of Drama Club of Ogden for 58 years. She was also the Coordinator of Adult Student Services at Weber State University.

Our mother was spiritual, compassionate, forgiving, selfless, quick-witted and loyal. She loved unconditionally and was without guile. She was patient, articulate, graceful, elegant and full of life. She was devoted to her family, friends and her Savior, she never passed up an opportunity to teach by example. Everyone who came in contact with her received one of her all encompassing hugs. She dedicated 35 years of her life to bring awareness and love to our LGBTQ family and friends.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served a mission to Brazil from 1954-1956. She spent most of her life serving the Young Women and the Relief Society sisters. She also directed many plays, musicals and road shows as part of that service. Together mom and dad served as ordinance workers in the Bountiful Temple for 24 years, taking a one-year hiatus to serve in the Nauvoo Temple.

She is survived by her loving husband Marv Peterson; children Andrea Carver (Charles), Lisa Gardiner (Scott), Stephanie Harris (Matthew, deceased), Victoria Souvall (Sam), Douglas Peterson, Michael Peterson (Darrin); and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deanna Peterson; son-in-law, Matthew Harris; great-grandson, Quaid Bowden.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 7th at 11:00 AM at the Farmington North Stake Center, 729 Shepard Lane, Farmington UT.
