Donna Eloise Fowkes was born April 23, 1921 to Myrtle Rhea Daniels and Walter Carle Barker in Salt Lake City, Utah. From the age of two, she was raised by her mother and Wilford Andreason in Magna, Utah. She graduated from Cyprus High School.

On February 14, 1940 she married Ralph David Fowkes. Donna And Ralph formed a

wonderful partnership that lasted 53 years until Ralph’s passing in 1993. Over the course of their life together they formed many lasting friendships and memories with others from the Willow Creek Country Club.

Donna continued her association with the Willow Creek Ladies Golf Association and cherished her time on and off the golf course. She was blessed to have Lucille Miles, Hattie Jones and Rene Chidester, along with many others in her life once the golf clubs were stored away.

Donna and Ralph were loyal Utah “Utes” football fans having season tickets since 1968. She continued attending games, following the Utes whether they won or lost until well into her 90’s. She hasn’t been in the stands the last few years and will certainly be thought of fondly in the stadium this fall.

Donna always enjoyed hearing about the success of her grandchildren and great grandchildren whether in their sporting endeavors or in their academic pursuits. She loved each and every one of them.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her parents Rhea and Wilford Andreason, brother Alvin, and her sister Bonnie. She is survived by her siblings Marie Chatterton and Stanley Andreason, her children: Pennee White, Lynda Jones, Ralph David, Jr., Carmen (Dwayne) Wagstaff, and Leslie (Brent) Drage, her grandchildren; Scott, Brad, Lisa, Adrienne, Eric, Dewey, Cissy, Shannon, Riley and Evan and her 11 great grandchildren. She loved each and every one of us with all her heart. Rest in peace, Grandma Donna.

As her surviving family we would like to thank all her friends and caretakers at Spring Gardens Assisted Living Holladay where she resided for the past four and a half years. She was so appreciative of the care she was given.

The family would like to thank Canyons Hospice for their extra care, always having a listening ear for her and taking the time to make sure she was always comfortable in her final days.
