Norman Charles (Chuck) Murray Jr.  
Holladay Utah - Born November 22, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Helen E. Higson Murray Leavitt and Norman Charles Murray Sr., they later divorced and Helen remarried Ray H. Leavitt and Ray raised him as his own.

Chuck passed on from this life on June 23, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by all his loved ones.

Chuck started out life winning his fight against Polio and excelled in many sports. He played baseball on the City League, he was a high jumper, football player and was an excellent skier. He loved tennis and golf.

He worked for the City Engineers office as a surveyor when he met and married his sweetheart Shirley Ruth Delp from North Carolina in 1961.  

Chuck and Shirley had 2 sons; Dr. Bradley Lynn Murray and Michael Ray Murray. They both took after their father as strong athletes.

Chuck and Shirley were longtime members of The Cottonwood Club in Holladay, Utah and made numerous friends with whom they loved playing tennis.

Chuck is proceeded in death by his parents and son Michael Ray Murray.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife Shirley, Son Dr. Brad Murray (Denise) Troy & Trevor Dubock, Granddaughter Erika Ray Adam (Eric), Sister Willi Leavitt Christensen and Niece Michelle Anderson.

There will be a celebration of Chucks life on Saturday July 16th from 1 to 4 PM at their home at 4959 Viewmont Circle, Holladay Utah where friends and family may gather to honor Chuck and share their memories.
