Daniel Ray Eden

February 27, 1965 - November 18, 2022

Dan was loved by many.  He spoke often of the wonderful life he had lived and memories he had built. He had a great ability to make and keep friends.

Dan left this world on November 18, 2022.  He was born to Jack and Peggy Eden on February 27, 1965 in Salt Lake County.  He came home to a big sister Terri Mills (Tim). A baby brother soon followed Gordan Russell who only lived a short time.  Two more sisters followed, Patricia Mark and Connie Eden.

Dan was the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Dusti Schear (Cory) and Hailey Eden and was the adoring grandfather of Wynnter Rose and Quorra Bell Schear and Mekhi Eden.  He loved being PopPop more than anything else.

Dan also left behind 11 loving nieces and nephews long with their spouses and 22 great nieces and nephews.

Dan, like his sisters, grew up loving animals.  The family never knew what they would find next roaming in the back yard.  There was a coop full of chickens, which was replaced by pigeons, a wheelbarrow full of carp, a magpie, a wounded sparrow hawk, two calves and two horses.  He even raised pigs to sell to the University of Utah for transplants.

As an adult, his love of animals turned into buying the ranch, a farm full of cattle and many more horses.  Long days roping, branding cattle, bailing, and hauling hay brought him a great deal of joy.  All throughout this time Dan had many friends lending a hand.  He brought so many people into our lives who have remained lifelong friends.

Dan was so proud when he became the owner & partner of AutoMenders as well as Caribou Cattle Company.

We miss you more than we can express, Dan

Our family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at St. Marks Hospital for the excellent care they gave Dan in his final days.
