Rosalee 'Rosie' Ochoa

December 14, 1990 - June 16, 2024

Rosalee “Rosie” Ochoa, beloved and cherished mother, daughter, and youngest sister, passed away tragically on June 16th, 2024. She was 33 years old. Rosie was born on December 14th, 1990 to Amy Austill in Midvale, Utah. Six days from her birth, her niece Genecia Tyler was born and the two of them formed a relationship that was above aunt and niece; it was best friends for life. From a young age, she brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her infectious smile and kind heart touched the lives of many.

In her life, Rosie loved fashion, modeling, and bringing beauty and color into the world. She was known for her kindness, compassion for her friends and family, and her ability to see the positive in every situation. She started a love of traveling from an early age, with memorable trips with her sister Gina to Rosarito, Mexico. Rosie had a taste for adventure and was willing to ride horses into the ocean with her sister Gina by her side. Now, Rosie’s next adventure is her guiding over us on Earth and her in Heaven.  Rosie’s love and her time spent with her sisters made for some laughable moments. One memory is with her sister Staci being asked if she’s Rosie’s mother due to how frequent Rosie would tag-along to all of Staci’s outings. Everywhere Staci went, her tag-along sister would follow. Now, although body and spirit are separate for the sisters, there is no place that Staci will go without her sister there. Her presence in our lives will be deeply missed. Rosie shared a passion for horror films with her sister, Selena, often gathering to watch their favorite thrillers late into the night. These spooky movie marathons were a beloved tradition, filled with screams, laughter and an unbreakable bond. Our baby sister is suffering no more, now fly high with the butterflies you are now free.

Rosie leaves behind her angel on Earth, Alaina, who shares her mom’s beauty and kindred spirit. Rosie is also survived by her loving mother, Amy Austill, and her sisters and their partners, Gina Casaus and Karoly, Staci Alvarado and Erick, Selena Schultz and Liesl. The extension of her love flows into the many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by Carol Lopez, Adonis Casaus, Mary Allen Casaus, and her great-grandmother Eutilia Casaus.

A private celebration of life for family and close friends will be held at the end of June. The family requests that donations be made to Rosalee Ochoa’s GoFundMe page. If you are seeking additional information on the celebration of life, please text 801-970-3825.

Rosie will forever remain in our hearts. May she find peace and solace in the arms of the angels. Regardless of the passage of time, Rosie will forever henceforth be our mother, daughter, little sister, aunt and best friend. We love you Rosie. Those who knew you will forever keep your memory alive, until we meet again.

"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear."
