Sherry was able to return to her sweetheart Vallee on March 21st 2017. Her and Vallee were married for 55 years before his passing on October 30th 2015. She missed him dearly and can now be with him for all eternity.

Sherry was born May 15th 1937 to Genevieve Tolman Hofhine and Harold Hofhine in Murray. She was a beautiful baby with blue eyes and curly blond hair. She was a special baby who was a blessing to her parents and her three older sisters. Sherry was born with many talents especially with music. She was extremely skilled with the piano, singing & teaching. She sang and composed music with her sisters and mother. They had a very successful quartet called the Harmony Quintets that sang all around the valley and region.

Sherry struggled with many health problems throughout her life but never let them hold her back. She served a stake mission when she was 19 and loved the church very much. She held many roles within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints including Relief Society president, Primary Music Director & Choir Director. She stayed active in the church throughout her life and enjoyed genealogy and temple work.

Sherry and Vallee were married April 29th 1960 in the Salt Lake temple. They began their lives in Murray Utah where they built the house they raised their family in. Sharee and Jennie came into their lives in 1963 & 1965 respectively. Throughout their child hood Sherry took it upon herself to homeschool them at a time where homeschooling was not favorable. After some time in their basement she expanded to her children and many others at American Heritage in Pleasant Grove. She made the drive daily and even though this was a large sacrifice there was nothing she wouldn't do to benefit the lives of her children. Sherry went on to become a grandmother to three granddaughters and one grandson. One of which her and Vallee raised as their own. Their family was their pride and joy and taught them unconditional love and full acceptance.

Sherry's life has been filled with service both in and out of the LDS church. Her and Vallee have dedicated their lives to the service of others including her Mother and Father, Vallee's Mother and Father, Vallee's brother Cliff and many others. She also touched countless lives through her work and missions throughout the church. Her last calling within the church was her work with the Cottonwood Hospital where she had the opportunity to touch many lives and those lives touched hers equally.

Sherry is survived by her children Sharee Davis, Jennie (Ted) Burton; grandchildren Ember Davis, Anthony Davis, Elizabeth Ann Davis & Jake Easley; five great grandchildren; three older sisters Donnetta (Thurlow) Bailey, Beverly Bailey Larsen, LoaDon (Bob) Glade; and sister-in-law Joanne (Ed) Krause; and two great grand puppies.

The past few years Ember Davis and Jennie Burton have had the honor of taking care of Sherry and Vallee. The time spent with them has been priceless. Beverly Larsen & Mike Baily have also been an integral part of their life sharing many wonderful times and helping them through the difficult ones as well. The family would like to give thanks to them as well as Karen Oldroyd, Gary Nelson, Gary & Mary Westin, June and Ed Higby, Jack & Elsa DeMann, LeRoy & Kathy Faerbor, Beverly Dalling and the countless others that have touched their lives over the years. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
