Samantha Julie Starr Dodson

A one of a kind flower bloomed on March 13, 1965. Samantha was a classic "fast times" California girl; a magnet for everlasting friends, and a devoted wife and mother. She withstood many trials and raised two handsome sons Tanner and Tyler on her own. Later, she met the love of her life, Lyle, who she married in 2006. Together they enjoyed adventures to Costa Rica, boating on Lake Powell, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, camping, riding motorcycles and shooting.

Samantha's ready smile and infectious laughter was one of a kind. She was stunningly beautiful, crafty, artistic and particularly skilled in metal art, beads and gems. Samantha took great pleasure in gardening and created beautiful landscapes and backyard retreats. She spoiled her family with fabulous cooking, loved animals and gave selflessly to anyone in need.

She was taken from us too soon due to cancer; one day before her 52nd birthday. She passed away at her home surrounded by loving friends and family. Our beautiful flower must have been needed for a special setting in Heaven. Our hearts are broken.

A celebration of Samantha's life will be held at a later date.
