Dwight Prince

Dwight was born in Sandy to Ken and Emma Prince.  He graduated from Jordan High School in 1979 where he ran track, played football and tennis and was involved with drama and Madrigals.  He went to BYU and U of U and enjoyed cheering for both teams.  He spent his life as a General Contractor and built mostly residential homes.  He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish, hike and camp.  He was an avid scouter and scoutmaster most of his life.  He loved music and broadway, especially the oldies. He loved "pondering," that is, building ponds and was an avid fish hobbyist. Dwight is remembered as a good and generous friend who had an adventurous spirit. 

He is survived by his mother; children Brittany (Braden) Davis, Berlyn, Preston, Hayden, Logan and their mother, Cynthia; granddaughter Cece Davis; and siblings Robert, Alan, Colleen, Karen.  Preceded in death by his father.

Friends are invited to a memorial at 7:00 PM on Friday May 5th at the Hidden Valley Park, 11700 South Wasatch Blvd.  He will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 6th at 9:30 AM at Sandy City Cemetery, 9126 South 700 East, Sandy.
