Joel Paul Martinez (Jo-Mama)

On August 5, 2017 Joel went riding with the angels.

Joel was born July 10, 1967 to Albert and Helen Martinez.

While growing up in Salt Lake City, Joel raised hell, made us laugh, and lived life to the fullest. He worked hard and played even harder. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, golfing, and bowling.

Joel was well known and could always make friends anywhere he went. He looked tough but was as soft as a teddy bear.

He is survived by his daughter; Chelsie Marie, son; Nick (Joelle) McNeal, grandkids; Roman and Geneva. His parents Albert and Christena, his sisters; Cheryl Gavid, Helene (Steven) LeFevre, Kim (Phil) Hansen, Dawn (Mike) Jones, brothers; David (Emily) Hunt, Noel (Nicole) Hunt and many nieces and nephews that loved him very much. 

Joel is preceded in death by his mother; Helen Lopez, brother; Monte Martinez, grandparents; Joe Lee and Eugenia Martinez, and grandmother Mabel Randolph. 

Funeral services for Joel will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Calvary Chapel located at 460 West Century Drive in Salt Lake City, with a viewing that will begin at 3:00 pm.
