Corey Isao Klepper
Our hearts are deeply saddened by the loss of Corey Isao Klepper, who died unexpectedly October 25, 2017 in his sleep. Born September 1, 1980 in SLC, Utah to the parents of Ronald & Becky Klepper (Millcreek).
Born with a natural gift for art, Corey's favored media was black ink and pen. He often drew self-portraits and randomly sketched on paper when asked. While younger, local businesses sought out his talent for inspiration and advice. He enjoyed reading books pertaining to Asian, Martial Arts and Spirituality. He practiced and lived by these same philosophies in life, which brought him peace. Listening to music also had an equal calming effect.
Corey was a wonderful brother, son, and uncle who brought much laughter into our home. He always surprised us with the eclectic attire he wore when he came for visits. He enjoyed helping his father in the garden, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family during the Holiday months. He often expressed how much he loved home.
Recently, we learned that Corey had many friends in the community. He will be remembered as a good friend, a mentor and little brother. He enjoyed helping others who needed it. Corey will be missed for his unwavering love for kin, being the family protector was his title. We will yearn his affectionate hugs!
Corey is survived by his parents, brothers; Mark (ND), Brian (SLC), Matthew (SLC), and sister Jamie (SLC), and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, cousin; Justin, uncles; Eric & Curtis Muramoto.
We want to take this moment to express sincere thanks to Valley Behavioral Health and the team of counselors who helped in Corey's care throughout his life.

A private memorial will be held in Corey's honor with family and close friends. Internment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 5th South, SLC Utah.
