"Nants"

"Hey Toadie," my sister would usually greet me. I will not hear this greeting ever again. After a massive stroke that left Nants trapped in her own body, she passed away peacefully with her beloved sister at her side on January 17, 2018. Even before the stroke, Nants had health issues that no doctors could figure out. But today she is thankfully at peace.

These were a few of her favorite things: Lexulous, Sudoku, her sister's dog, cruises, coca-cola, talking on the phone with friends, bowling, and her grand nephew; Roland.

She dressed to the nines, unlike her frumpy sister, Phyllis. Nants watched football all the time. Nants faithfully stood by Phyllis through good times and some bad.

She was a legal secretary in Chicago for 40 years. She was a Baha'i member and worked in the Baha'i Center in Illinois. She moved back to Utah a few years ago, mainly to be with her sister, Phyllis.

Nants is survived by her sister, Phyllis; niece Kelsey; Kelsey's mother-in-law Sherry; brother-in-law Jim; great nephew Roland; and many, many dear friends. Her parents, sister Sue, and brother Michael preceded her in death.

Thanks to Health South, Life Care Center, Brighton Hospice, Dr. Allen, and all of those who cared for her.

Go score a touchdown and bowl 300, dear sister. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building. She will be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South.
