Mickey Edward Hettich passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 21st, 2018 in West Valley City, Utah.
Mickey was born in Corning, Ohio on October 8th, 1947 to Lawrence and Grace Hettich.
He survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Hettich who he loved endlessly as well as his five daughters and only son and their children: Kevin Hettich (Caleb Fornelious, Grace Hettich, Paige Hettich) Brenda Weck (Abraham Weck, Garrett Weck,Ellie Weck ) , Belinda Norman (Bryson Norman, Daxton Norman), Connie Olson and her husband Ryan Olsen, Kimberly Birrell (Constance "CJ" Birrell) and Melanie Walker (Treydn Walker, Presleigh-Rae Walker).
He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam war and he received medals for his bravery and honor.
He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family at Fish Lake, but truly loved his tools and garage. Mickey was a master of all trades and could fix anything you put in front of him and if he couldn't, then he knew how to rig it. He loved working at Northrop Grumman and retired two years ago.
Mickey was loved by everyone he knew, he was simply a wonderful man, husband, father and friend. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building.
