Ted Ernest Miller was born January 30, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Walter Ted Miller and Emma Ferlan Miller. His fondest memories in his youth were spent in Big Cottonwood Canyon with his grandparents, wandering in the mountains that he loved.

Ted attended Olympus High School  and was known for always driving beautiful cars that he kept perfectly clean.  He was so particular his children were not allowed to eat or drink in them - no matter how far the trip! He even drove his dad's orange and white Oldsmobile convertible with David O' McKay in the back in the Days of 47 Parade.  Gregarious and outgoing, Ted was fun loving and his sense of humor always lightened the mood.

Ted married  Nancy Ann Russell  after a short courtship.  Ted and Nancy have 3 children: Jeffrey Ted Miller, Brett Russell Miller and Andrea Miller Andersen. He was proud to be known as Papa to his 7 grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Ted, with his brother and best friend Frank Terry Miller, owned and operated Ted Miller Company, a Specialty and Industrial Contractor.  Over the 35 years, Ted and Terry completed projects throughout the intermountain west with a reputation for quality work.  A prime contractor for Ivory Homes for many years, other notable projects include specialty plaster work on the St. George Utah, Ogden Utah, Washington D.C, and Seattle Washington Temples - as well as the beloved Capitol Theater.

He is survived by his brother Frank Terry Miller and his wife Ellen Windly Miller. He was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Miller James (Paul) and parents Walter and Emma.

Ted passed away after an extended illness - having bravely fought to stay with his family.
