LaDene E. Reichert

January 30, 1931 - June 9, 2018
LaDene E. Reichert

Our loving mother, sister, aunt, friend, and grandma, LaDene Egbert Reichert, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 9, 2018.

Mom was the consummate host. Her beautiful home was the hub for all occasions. She loved entertaining and everyone knew they were always welcome. Several friends of her sons, Cory and Brad (specifically Scott and Mindy Starley), adopted her as their mother! She was warm, loving and kind to all she met. She adored her grandchildren and spent as much time as possible with them. She was a formidable card player and enjoyed kicking everyone's butt! She loved giraffes and her home was a virtual display of that love.

The years spent at the lakes boating and camping will never be forgotten. Mom always made everything so fun. Having lunch with her sisters, Pauline and Marilyn, every month at the Longhorn and annual retreats with the girls was something she always looked forward to. She had a very close-knit bond with all her siblings. She was the heart of our family and will be sorely missed.

LaDene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold, her beautiful grandson, Zachary, her special son-in-law, Dwight, her three brothers Dale, Don and Darrell, sister LaWana, and sister-in-laws Rose (Dale) Egbert and Melva Egbert (Darrell).

She leaves behind her sons Cory (Ann) Reichert, Brad (Danna) Reichert; daughters Jennifer Reichert, Natalie Reichert Harmon; grandchildren Wes, Sean, Alicia, Alex and Madison; sisters Marilyn, Pauline, Karon; sister-in-law Sue Egbert (Don); and many, many friends and extended family.

Mom, we love and already miss you so much!

A special thanks to Summit Home Health and Hospice.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Guests are encouraged to use the complimentary valet parking on the north side of the building.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to GoFundMe.com for Riley Jade Northrup.  Riley was a darling 3 year old girl who accidentally drowned last week in Riverton.
