Green Mortuary Care

The decision to embalm is a deeply personal one. Embalming is not required by law, except in certain circumstances. Usually, it is a funeral home requirement that serves three purposes: sanitation, restoration, preservation.

Embalming helps manage physical changes after death and ensures that a viewing is as beautiful as possible, given the sad circumstances of loss. For those who prefer a closed casket (no viewing) or a more natural viewing, we offer alternative methods of preservation. While these methods don’t slow the natural changes as well as embalming, it allows families to say goodbye in a way that is environmentally friendly and chemical-free options.

A natural, embalming-free viewing is available to be held in our funeral parlor or in your home. In both instances, we diligently care for you loved one to support these earth-friendly wishes.
