Helen “Holly” Boyle

June 28, 1952 - November 19, 2024

Our loving mother, Holly, passed away peacefully Nov. 19th, 2024, at the age of 72. She lived in Millcreek, UT which provided her a daily view of the beautiful mountains that she loved so dearly.

Mom was born in Massachusetts, to her loving parents John and Mary Bottomly. She was a fraternal twin, and the second youngest of 6 kids (by 5 minutes). She went to the Rhode Island School of Design where she graduated with a master’s degree of Arts in Teaching. She loved art and she loved to share that passion with young people. From there, she moved to Salt Lake City to follow her family. After her move, she opened up her own real estate company, where she found so much purpose and meaning. She thrived in her career and loved what she did. She married Bryan Boyle in 1989, and had two kids, Bryanna and Jonathan Boyle. She loved animals, so much. She got that from her mother, and she shared it with her kids. She was a Christian and was very passionate about her faith. She connected with people in a way that is so rare. She saw all of you and gave you all of her attention. She was so invested in what was being discussed, and she fully saw people and heard them. She had a serenity about her that was so calming, making her that much easier to talk to. Her laugh was one of the best laughs this world will ever know. It was the fullest, most joyful and genuine sound.

Our mom was an incredibly strong and determined woman. She was never afraid to ask questions or stand her ground, and she was afraid of no one. She was incredible and fearless. She was such a supportive mother who loved her kids so deeply. She never missed an opportunity to talk about how proud of her kids she was. She listened whole-heartedly, she supported without judgement, she offered her advice in the softest way, she was gentle when she needed to be and fierce when that was needed. She was so beautiful, inside and out, and she was impossible not to fall in love with.

She is survived by her two children, her older sister Susan Bottomly, her older brothers Jack Bottomly, Nat Bottomly, Ben Bottomly, and her twin, Ross Bottomly. She will be so deeply missed, but never forgotten. Her spirit lives on through these people, and many others who had the pleasure of knowing her.

The service will be held 1pm Friday, December 6th, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E 500 S, Salt Lake City.

A special thanks to everyone who has rallied around her kids. We can’t do this alone, so we sincerely appreciate the love and support through this incredibly difficult time.

Holly was an angel on earth. Always so sweet and patient. Loved her little dog Nacho so much. She often talked about her Mom and kids with so much love. Her kids were her everything. She loved how beautiful her daughter was inside and out - they shared a special bond. Holly always made me laugh. She never had a mean word to say about anyone. I am grateful to have known her and for the time we spent together. I will miss her.
