Christine Neal Hindoian

January 5, 1949 - July 31, 2025

It is with love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christine Hindoian, age 76, who passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri.

Though she spent most of her life in Salt Lake City, Utah, she spent her final years surrounded by family and enjoying time with her four beloved grandchildren.

Christine was born on January 5, 1949, to Charlotte K. Neal and Henry E. Neal. She dedicated her life to education, teaching Family and Consumer Science for 38 years at Granger High School. A proud double major in Education and Family and Consumer Sciences, Christine was a lifelong learner who found joy in sharing knowledge, kindness, and laughter with others.

Christine loved the little things in life — children’s books, corgis, and, most of all, time spent with those she loved. Becoming a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she cherished every moment with her grandchildren.

Those who knew Christine will remember her for her incredibly kind spirit, joyful heart, and the way she could connect with anyone. She was the kind of person you could talk to about anything and always walk away feeling better.

Christine is survived by her daughter Amanda Fry (Matt), sister Patricia Scott (Roger), brother Kirt Neal (DeAnn), her four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vahan Hindoian, and her parents, Charlotte and Henry Neal.

A service to celebrate Christine’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane, Salt Lake City where friends may view beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Christine’s memory.
