Adele Ganamey
"Auntie"
February 28, 1925-August 10, 2013
Adele was born in Douma, Lebanon in 1925. She emigrated to Canada in 1953 and then to the US after marrying Edmond Ganamey.
She made a career as a seamstress and was known for her incredible stitching detail. There wasn't a single thing that she could not mend or repair. Adele never had children but loved to be with family and was a Godmother to many nieces and nephews. Since 2009 she has been a resident of Canyon Creek Memory Care where she brought joy, hugs and kisses to the wonderful caregivers that doted over her. She was known by all there as the Million Dollar Lady. Her smile could light up the room and her laugh would instantly warm your heart.
Many thanks to the Hospice For Utah caregivers and nurses for their kind, compassionate care.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 17th @11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights, where a viewing will begin at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City.
Auntie's life was devoted to helping people in need. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Hospice for Utah on her behalf.

In Loving Memory
My whole family was saddened to hear of Adele's passing. She was such a joy to visit with and I particularly enjoyed practicing my French with her. The Mass was very touching today. She certainly was a "Million Dollar" lady!
