Alberta Carter
August 15, 1932 - May 19, 2014
Our beloved "Miss Holt", Momma, & Granny was called home to be with our Lord on May 19th 2014, as she had a long struggle with her health. She was tired & ready to rest. Alberta was born on August 15, 1932 in Grandfield Oklahoma to Joseph & Fannie Robinson. She was the last surviving sibling of two sisters & four brothers.
Alberta is survived by her son Finis "Butch" Holt; daughter Trina Alires; three grandchildren she raised as her own David (Tisha), Deon, & Maurice (Celina) Yarber, as well as seven other grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, & one great-great grandchild. Also by a host of special friends whom she cared about dearly.
Alberta has been reunited with her son Dwight "Pinky" and daughter Coletta Ann Holt.
"Momma, you are already greatly missed & loved by many. Our "rock & unsung hero" has moved to the upper room. May you have a peaceful journey."
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 11:00 AM at the LDS 19th Ward, 225 West 500 North, Salt Lake City, where a viewing will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City.
In Loving Memory
Hello - You probably do not know me, but I had the opportunity to be Alberta's primary care physician at Madsen Internal Medicine clinic a few years ago. There are certain patients that really touch my life and help bring meaning to my job. Alberta was one of those people. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her. She had the best smile! I know she struggled with her health for some time and I hope you find peace in knowing she is at peace now. Sincerely-Natalie Sanders

I was Alberta's visiting teacher for years. I loved her, she was truly a sweetheart! I know that she has been reunited with her loved ones and her Heavenly Father. May you all find peace and comfort in knowing that she is at rest. She has always been one of my favorite people. Love you Alberta!
