Alexa, 25, of Salt Lake City, exited this life on June 30, 2013. Like a shooting star that flames out, our world is dimmer in her absence. Everybody loved Alexa but nobody could save her.
Alexa was born on December 22, 1987 in Salt Lake City. As a child she loved animals and horseback riding. She grew up swimming on the Cottonwood Club swim team. Her true love was dance and she was an active member of the Cottonwood High dance club. She had the graceful body of a dancer and loved both modern and jazz dance.
In 2011 in Twentynine Palms, CA Alexa gave birth to a baby girl, Zoe Rhae, who is a reflection of her mother's beauty and was the namesake of her great great grandmother Rhae. Zoe was the brightest light in Alexa's life. Alexa returned to Salt Lake City to the delight of her two younger siblings, Ella and Ethan, and her older sister Teresa who loved having their sister and Zoe at home with them.
Alexa leaves behind 2 yr old Zoe and Zoe's adoring father Jason Morrison, her parents Terri Pappas and Bruce Hamme, her siblings Teresa, Ella and Ethan Hamme, her grandparents Harold and Linda Walk, and Wally and Muriel Hamme, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who, in mourning for one who dies too young.
A visitation will be held Sunday evening, July 7, 2013 at Starks Funeral Parlor,
3651 S 900 E, Salt Lake City, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will commence at 10 am, Monday, July 8th at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 5335 Highland Dr, Holladay UT, under the direction of Father Michael Kouremetis. Interment will take place at Holladay Memorial Park immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to any Zion's Bank Branch under the name of Alexa Hamme for her daughter Zoe for her continuing care and education.

Alexa was married to my nephew Jason. Although I never had a chance to meet her, I have met Zoe and she is a beautiful little girl. My prayers go out to your family during this time of grieving.
