Alice, loving sister and aunt, passed away January 10, 2011, surrounded by her family.
She was born November 30, 1945 in Salt Lake City, UT. Alice graduated from West High and earned her degree from University of Utah. She retired from the Department of Energy after 20 years of service. She enjoyed her catholic faith and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul parish. She was an avid dog-lover and was happy to have her nieces, grand-niece and grand-nephews part of her life.
She is survived by her sister Shirley (Frank) Romero; nieces Michelle (Jeff) Paret, Lisa (Spencer) Ahrend, Cambria Valdez; grand niece Gracie Paret; grand-nephews Max Paret and Ozzie Valdez.
She is preceded in death by her mom Louise Thomas.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 13th at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul, 1375 East Spring Lane. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet, 1342 East 500 South. All are invited to join the family at St. Vincent’s for a lunch immediately following the burial.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Caresource Hospice, 1624 East 4500 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84117.
