Alice Tanga Hall

August 9, 1965 - February 5, 2026

Our beautiful, loving, and precious Alice passed away unexpectedly at St. Mark’s Hospital after a short illness. She was a lovely, kind-hearted spirit and very inquisitive. She loved life and was loved by all.

A graduate of Judge Memorial Catholic High School in 1983, Alice married her first husband, John Borg (now deceased), and they had a son, Taylor Borg. She then continued her education, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Business and later her Master’s degree in Education.

She married Richard Hall in 2008, and they had another son, Tanner Hall. During this time, she earned her black belt in karate alongside Taylor. She enjoyed camping and riding ATVs with her husband, Rich, and her son, Tanner. They went whenever they could. She also enjoyed occasional day trips to Wendover with her friend, Trish, or with her family, always filled with fun and laughter.

Alice taught elementary school for many years. Not only did she love teaching, but she loved her students even more. They excelled under her loving care. She lived for them. After her years of teaching, she went on to work at the U.S. Postal Service until her passing.

She is survived by her husband and children, Richard Hall, Taylor Borg, and Tanner Hall; her mother, Jan Tanga; her brother, Richard (Michelle) Tanga; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

We will all miss you, Alice (Alis).

A Celebration of Life in memory of Alice will be held on Friday, February 20th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to park and enter on the north side of the building.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carmelites in Alice’s name.

In Loving Memory

It's hard to believe you are no longer with us. I'm going to miss your laugh. I am forever grateful for your friendship and the adventures we had together. You were always there for me, no judgment, showing me only love and support. The only consolation I have is to know that you are now free of all pain. Rest now. God Bless. I'll see you on the other side. I love you!!! XOXOXOXO

Alis and I met at Parkside Elementary when her boys went there. When I moved to McMillan Elementary I had the honor of working with her and getting to know her. She was always upbeat, kind, cared for her students and friends. She was willing to go the extra mile for everyone. She made the BEST crackers that just melted in your mouth and it was always a request for her to make them when we had a faculty dinner. We remained friends on FB and when I saw that she had passed I was stunned and sad. My sympathies to her family. I am posting a few of the photos I have of her from working together.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Mrs. Hall. She was my 6th grade teacher at St. Vincent de Paul. I have so many fond memories from that year. Including making a timeline that wrapped around the walls of our classroom and making food from different parts of the world and countless fun group projects. Mrs. Hall’s classroom was a place of laughter, curiosity, and encouragement. I’m grateful for the role she played in shaping my love of learning and for the joy she brought into the classroom each day. My heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.

Mrs. Hall was my daughter’s first teacher at McMillan elementary when she arrived as a first grader. She was quickly the reason my daughter loved school. Alice was always present in her life as she moved on to higher grades, cheering her on and as more of my kids came to the school she never taught them but she treated them with the same enthusiasm. Forever grateful to her for helping a nervous 1st grader on her first day of a new school. She will be missed

I remember your laugh and that beautiful smile, a true friend you were. All those wonderful times at Judge have special places in our hearts. I will miss your presence on earth, but know that living is just one step in our journey. “ With every dawn breaking, your light shall be seen, In the flowers that bloom, in the spaces between. Your legacy lives on in the hearts that you warmed, In the friendship that you shared, forever transformed.”

My heart aches immensely hearing of the passing of one of my favorite women… Alis was such a meaningful part of my childhood, and I never felt anything but warmth, love, and comfort in her presence.I only wish I could have spent more time with her as an adult. She truly was an angel on earth. Sending all my love to Tanner, Taylor, Rich, Rick, Michelle, Jan and the rest of the clan. I am thinking of each of you and sending strength and peace for your family during this incredibly difficult time. Love always Ryley, Matt and Baby Sam

I wish to send my condolences out to the family. I worked with her while she was at the ASF. She was a great friend and she was one of the many people that I would always give her my life updates and I would always check in with her. She was very happy for me when I told her that I was getting married last year and how she always wanted to be kept in the loop about every detail of my wedding. I'm going to miss seeing her happy face at work while she did her best working in the manuals. She will be greatly missed! From Mrs. Budge

Alis was such a fun friendly soul, I got to know her when she was working at the REC (USPS). We kept in touch through texts once she moved to the plant. Condolences to her family. I know she will be greatly missed.
