Alice Y. Bedell
Alice passed away on April 21, 2012 at the age of 92 while surrounded by her family who loves her.
She was born June 26, 1919 in Coeymans Hollow, New York to Rebecca Forbes and Edward E. Yager. She married Edward F. Bedell in South Carolina one day before he was deployed to serve our country for over three years in WWII. Alice spent many years as a Stenographer for the New York State Legislature. She and her family were very active at Christ Episcopal Church in Greenville. Alice was a strong, caring and supportive wife and mother. In her later years her life revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she adored.
She is survived by her son Edward (Leah); granddaughters Kerry (Derek) Steward and Kristina Blair; great-grandchildren McKenzie and Cabot Steward and Hatcher and Bedell Blair.
Preceded in death by her husband Edward; and her brother, William Yager.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 18th at 11:30 AM at Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, Route 9W, New Baltimore. Friends are invited to visit the family at a luncheon immediately following services.
